Why because it undermines your beliefs? It doesn't fit with your prejudices. It's core to mine. These people are Conservatives. This is what we do.
Didn't Thatcher say there is no such thing as society strange value system. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I didn't say that at all. What I wrote, and I'll copy and paste it so I can't be accused of changing anything, is the following: Actually, the party sticking closest to their core values is the Tories, but as their core values are ******* 'orrible, it's not much of a consolation. I was talking about the Conservative Party, not the people who vote Conservative. I thought that was clear, if it's not, I apologise for not making it so. While I don't understand why working class people vote conservative, and by that I mean anyone who has to work to live, however much they earn, I do not believe such people are rotten to the core, or, as I phrased it earlier, ******* 'orrible. They have different political beliefs to me but I have no problem with such people or their values, many of which you listed in a previous post. The Conservative Party themselves, I do have a problem with. I have a problem with most political parties as it goes, including Labour who I usually, but not always, vote for, but many policies introduced by The Conservative Party in particular I find abhorrent, or, to put crudely, ******* 'orrible. The list of values you wrote earlier, I do not associate with that party in any way. I'm not back tracking or trying to wriggle out of something, this is what I meant. It was not an attack on Conservative voters. I would imagine you still disagree with me, but I didn't say or mean what you have claimed I said.
As I've already said these historic conservative "values" are not the values of the Conservative party
