Really enjoying this, and they seem to be going down well with the crowd.

You wouldn't have had any curtains they'd have been blown out with the windows.

I think the last album of theirs I listened to came out in 1991, have they done anything since?

Some good albums in the 80s mind you but that was a hell of a long time ago.

Metallica S&M is one of my favourite live gigs. Metallica with the San Francisco Philharmonic. Amazing combination of classical and metal. I used to hate them funnily enough. Was in the "just a lot of noise" camp.

They've not bettered their early stuff album wise, but there's been some amazing tracks dotted about their releases.

Take it your referring the black album.
The albums after that 'load' and 'reload' were pretty good, more filler though.
'st anger' a load of tosh and their most recent 'Death magnetic' back to their best, but not quite as good as their early stuff.

Not one of my favourites but for a god aweful noise they've sold alot of records and sold alot of concert tickets , not seen much of Glastonbury but the few numbers I've seen in between the footy it looks like they've toned things down a bit , great live band

I'm surprised they can still play the heavy stuff, it's so fast. Incredibly hard to play.

Love how they're taking a few off the 2nd album "Ride The Lightning" - I'm a bit behind watching it on record...."Fade To Black" - classic!

Yes that's the one, I didn't really listen to it as I was young and thought they'd sold out, would probably like it now.
