    Clough, who wants to recruit a new centre-forward ahead of the meeting with Steve Cotterill’s side, scored another victory in the transfer market when former Tranmere Rovers captain James Wallace rejected Barnsley in favour of a move to Bramall Lane while Andy Butler, previously of Huddersfield Town, is known to have interested several Championship clubs before joining United from Walsall.

    But we all knew that would be the case with just about all our summer signings. Can't say i'd previously heard of any of the three we've signed so far and it will probably continue, although we might sign one player at some point where we are all aware of him.
