Looking to take my theory and test this year, oh and actually learn to drive on too! If so is the theory the same as the one for the car test or is it based on HGV only? I've heard different things that's all. Also, I've been driving since I was about 14 at free drove centers... passed my theory on my birthday at 17 and passed my test a month later and since then I have been in driving employment driving a 3.5 tonner... how much different is it in the driving seat of something 3 times then size? From the outside it looks pretty difficult but most test centers I've spoke to say they have passed students in around 3 weeks... surely it's not that easy? Any extra info or good places to learn would be great! TIA.
They're all too busy using the first too lanes of the motorways, or blocking both lanes of dual carriageways, slowing the traffic down as much as possible, to come on here, almost as bad a cyclists and caravaners.
You forgot pulling out in front of you at junctions and on roundabouts forcing you to slam on your brakes.
There really are some ignorant, stupid folk on the BBS. You should try and drive a lorry around, it might make you realise just what a bunch of tosspots most car drivers are !!
Ent you got to do 7 n half ton first? I took my test in 99, the theory then had only just come in, the questions can be on owt...Hgv or not.. Sent from my GT-S5830i using Tapatalk 2
And them cyclists that are always getting tangled up in the wheels. Sent from my ipod while doing 50 in the middle lane of the M1.
I had a class one but I've let it go now but drove them for years, I was governed by the amount of hours I could work/drive unlike a car driver that can drive to Aberdeen and back then do 24 hours in a taxi 'cos as we all know the people that only take one test never cause accidents, never pull up the inside of an artic when hes in the right handlane and indicating hes turning left, sit in the overtaking lane at 55mph and refuse to pull over, very rarely indicate, slowdown to walking pace to go through traffic lights, leave 50 yds in between them and the car infront in a traffic jam. I've seen some rare sights from car drivers and trust me if ever I got into power I'd bring in roadside executions., sorry your a t****, BLAM, your car will be sold to cover the expense of the funeral
Best place to learn L+T Transport at Fitzwilliam. I'm an instructor there and we are the only customer site test station in Yorkshire. What this means is the DSA Examiners come to us and the test is conducted from our premises. Phone 01977618228 and speak to Anne or Tony and they will answer any questions you have. We are the Best!
When you've passed ya test come and see me for a job. I didn't learn at L&T but a few drivers at our place did & so did my brother in law (passed 1st time), they come recommended.
I passed with those in 2005 although not 1st time, do they do the test local? I ended up taking mine out of Thorp Arch it was the most stressful 10 days of my life lol
