Oughtibridge Ln/Skewhill Ln at Grenoside ...Left the house at 1.30, travelled 9 miles and (FREE) parked up at Grenoside Primary, 10 mins walk up Stephen ln no crowd barriers, very narrow road at the top of the Oughtibridge Ln climb ... arrive to catch the caravan ... and the riders came through at 4pm ... great weather, great banter, great atmosphere... could smell the sweat from the riders as they crawled past
Why couldn't the TDF route through Langsett have been as easy (for us tight arses who did not want to line the penistone land owners pockets)?

Anyone got back from Lagsett yet?

Some right knobs on the route today, why do they think they can race the bikes. Bet the riders loved all the fat tw@ts stepping out in front of them too.

Cant't have been far from me

My youngest daughter was running a refreshments stall on Oughtibridge Lane/ Grenoside bend (Jawbone).

    Great day.

Even though I managed to fall of my bike at 0MPH on way home. Numpty!

Watched it on tele, did anyone see that rider intentionally start whacking mobiles out of people's hands which then smashed in to pieces on the floor? That's criminal damage and I'd be reporting him to the authorities if I was them.

Most people will fall off bikes at 0mph. You need to go a bit faster than that to make them work properly. Hth.

Quality view but I wasn't on the steepest part which would have been the best place.

I presume you're on a wind up? They deserved everything they got, absolute morons not giving the riders enough room.

At first I thought they might be been pushed from behind but then the camera switched to the helicopter view & you could tell that they were just idiots who felt the need to put the riders at risk of injury just for a better shot

Yeah I thought i'd watch my local bit on the TV so saw Huddersfield, Holmfirth area. What a bunch of knobs littered across the course. Especially up Holme Moss. Chasing the bikes, not giving riders enough room etc. Very disrespectful.
