Contracts haven't been worth the paper they are written on for years. If someone wants to leave they kick up a fuss until they get their way (Vaz Te etc) or we try and get rid ourselves.

 

He was always on the bench for Bury when he was on loan there anyway. Wilson has stated he has confidence in him and factor in he's a Barnsley lad I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

Injury prone only does side ways and back passes and kept out of the side by Dawson And co last season, if Wilson really rates Rose & Digby why did one get loaned out to 4th division and the other kept out of the team by toilers, their not good enough plain and simple.

I've seen every league game every one of our players have played in apart from Brighton away 2 seasons ago when they stuck 5 past us so it's not as though I'm basing my opinion on what others have told me I've seen it with my own eyes, my lunch brake is 13-00 till 14-00 each day in January 2013 a bloke I worked with retired and goes to watch the u21s so I nip down and have half hour with him when they play and and can tell you them young uns ain't up to much at that level in my opinion and I've seen a lot of football in my time

 

What did you think to stones at that level

 

I didn't see much of him as I only started watching young uns 18 months since but having seen every game he played for us you could see after first 2 or 3 games he was way better then anything that had come up through our ranks in my life time. And one of the very few lads that would be moving up from us and not down unlike the kids at the club now

 

I'd like to see both Rose & Digby as first team regulars this season and hope they will be (along with one or two others promoted to the squad from the Academy, with any luck). It may well be pie in the sky, but I don't care.

 

I'm with you on this and I think it'll be nearer the truth than wishing our talented young players away. I do like how in the case if Digby some folks reckon they know better than professionals in the England set up. If fit I think both will play 25-35 games

For me, we can **** off any more new signings other than a full back and combative midfielder and to replace COG/Crainie/Jennings if they go and let's finally laik these young'uns.

Just pointing that my opinion is based on what I've seen with my own eyes, and not my interpretation of what a bloke on Barnsley player says unlike most on here.

They're not good enough, and to play them all together is asking for trouble.

 

Not good enough in your opinion mate. imho none of them have had enough 1st team action to make a judgement call.

 

Digby has looked better than. Stones in first team IMO

 

You're right that's my opinion, but I don't think I'm the only one with that opinion, otherwise they would have had enough first team action.
I'm not saying they'll never be good enough but I'd let 2or3 out on loan for full season and keep a couple and use them ourselves but to use them all is suicide
