People can say what they like (within Site Admin rules), mate. That's what freedom of speech is all about. The same freedom of speech allows the rest of us to question and criticise those opinions, if we so desire. Also, it doesn't mean they speak with authority or credibility. Championship and division 1 are different though. If they play they will need time to prove themselves, what worries me is people won't give them it and one will get the Eaden treatment.
I still think Rose & Digby will both make a positive contribution to the first team this season, old mate.
I'm one of Stones' biggest fans and have moaned more than most about his 'give away', but I have to say that Digby's full debut was at least as impressive as Stones'. I'm hoping that the real difference we are going to see is an end to the short-term, must stay in the Championship or we'll lose £6m thinking, that caused us to loan players just because they are at Premier League clubs, rather than giving a proper chance to our own talent. Then if they prove to be not good enough fair do's, but I don't see how they can prove themselves if they are not given a chance.
Stones looked class right from the first time we saw him. Digby has potential but so far he is nowhere near Stones IMO.
Stones looked comfortable from the West Brom friendly all the way up to his departure. What stood out about him was he rarely made a mistake which is strange for a youngster. Digby at times has looked a bit of a passenger & seems reluctant to try & make things happen. Though I guess a lot of that's down to age / confidence but there's really no comparison Stones looked much better than Digby based on both of their first few appearances
