I'm not one of those people who demand to know everything that goes off behind the scenes because I'm sure the club are doing there best to create a team and squad that will challenge for promotion.I do though think that todays news from radio Sheffield needs addressing to ease fans fears.I'd like to know if the club are wanting these players out for financial reasons or if the mentioned players have requested for whatever reason a desire to move on.
Why ? This has been the situation all along. Mansford alluded to the same very early in the close season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did he? I remember him saying that we had the ability & contractual requirement to keep these players. Basically, we thought teams would want them. They don't. Because they don't, we need to make it clear they can go so we can then bring others in. That's why we've only signed 3 lads & not the 20 'promised'.
'contractual requirement' - it was blindingly obvious that we would sell them due to relegation. Mind, it's good sport competing to see how grim we can make the coming season, future of the club etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What news???? Oh, this news @Gids1980: RS understands that #barnsleyfc are now willing to listen to offers for Chris O'Grady, Martin Craine, and Tom Kennedy. The shock revelation that RS understands that we are willing to listen to offers for the 3 players out of the 4 that we have that might be worth something, is this something that wasn't known last week or month even. Barnsley are always willing to listen to offers for our players. Just because radio Sheffield understands, does that mean we have to call an immediate press conference to calm everything down. After all, I'm pretty sure that last season radio Sheffield understood that a take over was imminent and we are still waiting..
