£25 for Division 3 football takes the piss a bit.

    Not impressed with that really.

Was it a universal £23 last season? Or has it always been dearer on the flanks?

Staying at £23 would have been reasonable but having a price rise in some stands is just stupid as we've been relegated. Having said that, most clubs in League 1 seem to be around the £25 mark so we are probably falling in line with the rest of the league...

Get relegated, sell our best players, declare you're going to play the kids and then charge £25?

The saddest part about it is that it won't stop me going.

    Blinking flip

Appears that we've given up on attracting the casual supporter, and garnering support should we have a decent season.

Equivalent to 12 games early bird price for a season ticket.

Fans may as well pay 30 quid per month with zebra finance and get a ST

Goodness some people love to just moan. Flipping S.M moans at anything. Theres tickets at 20 pound, 23/24 and 25 pound.

If you don't want to pay 25 in ESU sit in C.K. Beckett stand at 23 pound.

Moan Moan Moan Moan Moan Moan a and if there isn't anything to moan about then create something.

    What a joke

It makes me glad I have got a season ticket now. Works out at just under £14 for me and junior thereev, which is ok. There is no way I on earth I would be paying £29 for me and the young un every other week to watch that fekking pub league rubbish.

And they say sky sports is expensive....its a bargain compared with going to the well.

Those matchday prices look like another own goal to me Jason I am afraid cos they ain't gunna many paying that int alehouse league.

Here's to plsh poor crowds all season.....how inspiring!

Still believe £20 is plenty. Even more so now we're down to League 1. I like the young adult category, but think it's too much.

I haven't got a problem with the upper tier in the stands costing more. People who like the best seats tend to be prepared to pay a bit more for the exclusivity of it. If they're not, they go in the cheaper seats. Offer what people believe to be a better product and some will pay for it. Others prefer a bargain. This gives a choice (of sorts, limited but it's there.) Upper tier seats always used to be more. Season tickets in these areas are more. By lowering the price of such seats to bring them in line with the rest of the ground and then increasing them again, the club have opened themselves up for criticism that they would have never received had there always been a premium for the top seats. People will soon get used to it and that criticism will go away. I'd have kept the lower tiers the same price as The Ponty End though. It's the same standard of seating.

It's only a small increase, none at all in The Ponty, but as we've been relegated I can see why some people will be disappointed with it, depending where they sit in the ground. Top and bottom of it is football is too expensive. Sort out the real problems - overspending and players wages - and we might get back to reasonable ticket prices, although I doubt it.

We've taken a stance with wages

but not with ticket prices. So the expectation is that we will pay more for a lower standard of football.

Not happening. If we're pissng the league come December, I'll get a half season ticket. If we are mid table and the only thing appealing is the craik, I'll pick and choose, might make 6 or 7 games, might not.

Reminds me of one of my local pubs attitude to falling numbers of regulars - they kept putting the prices up to make up for it. Obviously it just accelerated the decline and it's now an Indian.

Re: We've taken a stance with wages

Difficult to argue with that, but every couple of weeks I prefer to spend my time down at Oakwell rather than cutting the grass or painting the shed. We can't afford to do what the hell we like every weekend, so I know at least half the time I'd be stuck at home doing **** that I don't like. I can afford £14 every other weekend, which is what my season ticket works out at per game, so I'm fine even if we're crap. 5th rate football beats 1st rate painting any day of the week. If we're any good, that's just a bonus.
