Did it eck. It's alive and kicking. The way Germany play is my ideal form of the game. Pace, incisive, clinical, ruthless. The brazilians haven't played their traditional style of football since the mid 80s, they remind me of England these days, with a bit of skill.
absolutely spot on And the brazil sycophants can disappear for another 4 years at least. Myth busting game.
Really? There hasn't been much skill from them this year - apart from a few glimpses by Neymar. I thought they were very lucky to get to the semis, where they were found out big time by a very good team.
The emphasis was on 'bit' of skill, because that's what it was. They are rank, got lucky with favourable ref decisions, they are as dysfunctional as a team as England.
No idea how anyone can say that the beautiful game ended last night. Brazil literally kicked their way to the final. The only team they played well against were an awful Cameroon side in crisis They'd got more in common with Stoke City than Brazil sides of the past. There game plan seemed to revolve around set pieces or Neymar doing something special. The likes of Paulinho, Oscar, Hulk, Willian, Fred, Jo, Bernard & Hernanes are all bang average players who have little creativity. Most of them would struggle to get a game for England which sums it up. Football's alive & well it's just different teams playing the quality stuff
Surely we do. We got to the W.C. finals didn't we? Anyway - you've changed your tune. Other week when I was saying England would struggle to get out of the group stage, tha were all shooting mi darn. Or do you just like being argumentative all the time?
Pre-tournament optimism? Their performance soon knocked that out of me. But if you can't have hope... The realism soon hits home though. I reserve the right to change my mind.
