Nope reading a book while listening to London Calling and absentmindedly wishing Joe Strummer was still alive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I'm recording it, can't decide if I want to watch it. It sounded interesting but then the clips I saw yesterday looked *****! They've missed a trick anyway - they could have had him drive around in a Kia car with Kevin Cronin of rock band REO Speedwagon and it could have been called "Rio in Rio in a Rio with REO"!
Really enjoyed it so far. Seems a good guy. It's a bit about Football and a but about him experiencing Brazil. He knows what hes taking about. see a big future for him in TV if he choices that route.
im watching it, only because I just happened to have bbc on. its been quite good. But not good enough to keep me up any longer. Bed time, work in morning
Okay, i'm enjoying it Andy. In the other thread they talking about why do ex pros get coaching chances. Well if the ex pros can tell you what he can then it's easy to know why. The knowledge he gave about Messi and Dzeko blew Mark chapman away. You can't buy or learn what he knows.
Not sure why you always manage to get wrong end of stick of every post That thread wasn't about why ex pros get coaching badges, it was saying it should be easier for the the every day man in the street to get a decent level coaching qualification, not just ex pros. The likes of Rio undoubtedly have footy knowledge, but you don't need Rio's knowledge to coach at grass roots level and make a difference when we have more qualified coaches at grass roots level we'll get more Rio's playing top class level. anyway defo bed time
played against them types of players and a given talent. Gary Nevilles the same. I would love to see Rio appointed center back coach for the young center backs. John Stones Phil Johns Jamaal Lascelles Liam Moore and whoever the FA think will be the best u21 players for the Tournament in 12 months. Get him to watch them at club games and help them when with England and if the clubs allow it at the clubs.
So he learnt it then. Also where did all those players you speak of learn to play football in the first place
I might be wrong here but didn't Rio serve a ban for "forgetting" to go for a drugs test. That type of knowledge could prove invaluable to the next wonder generation
He can have a talent for kicking a ball, but the stuff about tactics, positional sense etc he will have learnt. Otherwise there's no point having him as a coach because he wouldn't be able to teach anybody owt! You say you can't learn what he knows but you want him to be a coach to teach people what he knows!
Not read any of the comments. Watched it. Really good watch. Rio comes across as a top lad. Good view. CS acting at Barry Norman. Peace out
