Personally when I watch a good defender especially at a young age they normally have a snap reflex to be in the correct place at the correct time.

Watching this and Brazil have been on. David Luiz doesn't have that defensive instinct and I don't think he can learn that.

I'm not the best at getting my comment across but in the Sports you like in America there must be players that are naturally very good.

There are naturally gifted players, but they still need coaching

    I've heard it all now.

So footballers are born footballers. So there's No need at all for coaching they will become footballers anyway.

Yes, in parts it was okay, in parts he was a bit smug meaning it was hard to forget he believed he was above the law concerning his doping test and the number of birds he had on the go behind his wife's back.

Perfect role model for the next generation.

    in Parts yes.

I think all top sports men have it.
On the john Bishop show it showed a 12 year old international surfer, yes really 12. I would say hes got skill you cant teach as such and hes really good on the board.

So you don't think they've started out playing/doing a sport from an early age and have been dedicated to it? You just think they were born with the ability?

    Wow.

    In sports yes.

They have to do it a lot but yes.

Not sure if you like F1 but they've been showing a lot of clips of Lewis Hamilton when he was young racing and talking to the camera.
Hes talking about racing lines and I do this and he will do that at 8 year old. Thats a natural ability to race.

Surfing is so much more intuitive than football. It's about balance which is by its nature intuitive. Even then some coaching would be required on body positions etc. Football is so tactical that even if a player had flawless technique (which no one does and coaching is always necessary) he would still need coaching to learn how to work within the systems/formations etc. A hell of a lot of coaching. Let's not forget that footballers are often quite thick and when you combine that with the complexity of the game it is obvious that years and years of coaching are necessary.

Right. He didn't learn that? He wasn't coached? It just came to him?

People can pick up a skill quicker than others and that's why people will say someone is a natural at somthing but they still have to learn, they still have to practice, they still have to be dedicated to get to the top

Actually you're probably right. I heard of a law firm who hired an 8 year old to work there. He didn't have a law degree, he just naturally new about the court process and how best to conduct litigation.
