    We don't need daily updates, we don't need weekly updates, things only need saying when there's summat to say. Today there's summat to say. Our longest serving player and big crowd favourite has left the club. Apparently he's going to Panathinaikos. Amazing opportunity for the bloke, I think we all wish him well. But we need some details.

    Let's be rayt....the transfer obviously isn't complete yet. If he was having his medical today then with finishing final details, getting international clearance etc. It's not going to be finished. And if it's not yet finalised then why would the club make a formal announcement? They'll speak about it once the deal is finished.

    So? That doesn't mean the transfer is complete. Surely the club should only announce transfers when they're fully complete and have been ratified no?

    Ben will announce it via a message on the new scoreboard before the first home game of the season.

    I mean we are still getting the scoreboard right? If not then the open and honest ben would have told his customers. A man of his integrity wouldnt just hush up the situation and hope everyone forgets.

    Barnsley football club can confirm that media reports are correct and Luke steele has conducted talks with greek side panothanikos (god knows how to spell it) and whilst the deal has not yet been officially completed we fully expect Luke to leave the club and wish him well in the future.
