They probably dont want to have to pay the player compensation when he moves to a bigger club. They'll be waiting for us to ask if we can have him for free instead of paying them. Apparently thats how it works these days
No it doesn't. He signed a new deal with them start of this month, so it's fair to say that they aren't offering him out to other clubs or telling him to leave. They've rejected our offer. They rejected offers previously from MK, Blunts and Coventry. So it's fair to say they'd prefer to keep him until such a time that a club meets their valuation of him. And as ***** as we're made out to be by you and others, we're a bigger club than Scunny, more attractive a proposition and will increase his salary. But aye, you're bang on otherwise..
How so? Gordon told us that if a club sells a player they have to pay his contract up regardless of where he goes to so clubs now waive the transfer fee and let the player go on a free which somehow means they dont have to pay the wages.
Ps I wasnt talking about the deal you mentioned which seemed far more specific than what Gordon described
You're right, pal. They offered him a deal, but can't see anything that says he agreed to sign it. Plenty of clubs interested over the Summer though. Leeds, Wednesday, Blunts. Released by Wolves just a year ago. Funny old game.
He was in the league 2 team of the year last season. Young lad who scored about 20 goals. That's the 3rd one we've been linked with this week from the league 2 team of the season.
