So do I but their track record isnt exactly 100% - I still cant believe anyone would be dumb enough to take Kennedy - even if we offer to pay half his wages

What's wrong with Cranie? Not having a go, just interested. I like him, I think he's a good player.

I know he's got some relegations under his belt, but some of the best players ever to pull on a Barnsley shirt have too. I really don't think you can judge a player's ability by the fact that his team have been relegated.

If Wilson doesn't rate him, fair enough, I'm not going to kick up at fuss if he goes, but people appear desperate for him to leave and I don't really get that.

What's the paper say? I've not read it yet and they don't have an online article about it.

I like Cranie, and I'd like to keep him. But for my part it's becoming increasingly obvious that, despite assurances given early in the summer to the contrary, we need to ship out some players before we can sign new ones. And it's obvious that the players the club wants to get rid of are O'Grady, Cranie and Kennedy. If they've decided he's surplus to requirements then I'd rather he went as soon as possible so we can actually get round to putting a team together.

It's no reflection on him. I just want us to get on with our preparations for next season, and the impression I get is that Cranie needs to go before that can happen.

I just don't rate him. Not as a centre half. Soft and too quiet for my liking. Not a winner.

Sestran responded summing it up, but it's not a dislike of him or a criticism of his ability, but Crainie obviously needs to go.

The PR Spinster that is Ben Mansford didn't make it as obvious during pre-season that we desperately needed to lose our top earners.

As long as Crainie, Steele, COGBA and Kennedy are/were employed by the club, we just weren't capability of recruitment.

Its a tough job though. Say they are all for transfer and we'll get raided worse than what we are and the fans will feel dejected. Say they are part of the plans to try and maximise any fee and the fans can suggest that mistruths are told.

Personally i'm happy with them trying to get the best possible fee even if that means some fans may feel they've not been told the full story.

Hes a decent enough player, but never really stood out for me. never exactly been a rock in a poor defence. Im sure we can get someone as good on a lower wage.

Id be more disappointed if mvoto left than crainie

I dont recall walking out of a single Barnsley game last season saying Crainie was outstanding. Crainie has been the heart of a defence that has finished in the bottom 4 for three consecutive seasons.

Im not saying hes a bad player, but hes probably a top earner and what you need to think is can we get someone as effective for league one for less money. I would say yes

    Same here.

In fact I think jean and lewin seemed to be the best performing pair together.

Every player who was at crainies side always got the stick and looked poor.

Communication, I dont know. But it isn't a coincidence to me.

I'm either way but he is the one out of steele cog and him I would pick to leave if I had to choose out of the 3 for certain.

Nothing wrong with him - I think he is OK but hasnt stood out for me at all. As he is probably one of our top earners I think we could more easily replace him with someone cheaper than we can with O'Grady or Steele - dont get me wrong I dont think he is a bad player (unlike Kennedy who I am very keen to see the back of ) but if we are paying championship wages to him I'd rather we saved it thats all
