Bloody hell, there no chance of ever proving a point these days when the press even get it wrong! Not that it's worth owt, 'cos everything on t'internet is wrong, but... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Evans_(footballer)
Club record signing at the time, Phil Gridelet, 8 appearances. We signed him in 1990 and he left in 1992.
Billy Brindle, signed on a free transfer from Everton in 1970 (I think!), who went on to make a grand total of a single substitute appearance lasting around twenty minutes. The first in a long line of players signed from a club in the top division whilst I've been a Barnsley supporter, who then proceeded to be utter, utter tripe for us.
If I remember correctly, Willie Ferry was a reserve player at Scunny. I don't even know if he actually played in their first team.
I think I was lucky enough to witness every game he ever played for us. Which I think was every game he ever played in the league. It was like someone torturing a puppy watching him trying to play bless him.
