Tom Kennedy was to leave the club this week and we ended up signing the Dundee lad and the S****horpe striker. I feel for Ben Mansford as I don't envy the job he or Wilson has and with two food signings like that it would get the critics off there backs. Was also told today that Cranie was one of the trialists for Blackpool today but surely that isn't allowed if he's still under contract with bus? Can anyone shed any light on that one?
You can take players on trial who are under contract at other clubs, and play them in non competitive fixtures.
Why would we let a player contracted to us play a game for someone else? What if he got injured? Stuck with a high earner who can't even play then.
Cranie didn't play for them. Had it confirmed by a Blackpool lad I know who went to Penrith. Mellis played, Haroun (ex Boro), Alnwick, a foreigner and Delfouneso. But definitely no Cranie. However, we definitely agreed a fee for him. Fingers crossed he signs their contract...
