If our next signing is a loan, I might get so wound up that I do myself a mischief. Not only that, but he'd be a loan signing who's barely played since leaving Mansfield two years ago. Where did you hear this?
Someone from the Burnley paper. Hopefully we can sign another 6 loan players and get rid of some deadwood supporters.
Well its a start, loan or not, its a position we desperately need to fill and he fits the bill. Lets hope there's a few more to follow.
Signing on loan imminently, according to sources in Lancashire. Very attack minded full back who Burnley do rate apparently. Signed a new deal there recently.
Must admit, it would be a bit perturbing to see people coming in loan who may see their move as a 'shop window' opportunity, somewhat flying in the face of the rhetoric with regards building a group who are committed long term to the club and locality. But any new faces in the door have got to be welcome at the moment.
if its a season long loan then I'm up for it… id think he would be on good wages at burnley any new faces welcome
Got to say I won't really be happy with loans coming in after what we have been told. Ideally wouldn't want any loans coming in, but if needs must and all that.
There's nothing wrong with 1 or 2 loan signings as long as there of the right calibre in terms of ability and character. We've had a fair amount of success in recent years signing young loan players from Premier League clubs who have yet to make a name for themselves. The likes of Nyatanga, Butland, Shotton, Trippier, Hammill and McLaughlin were all players still looking to prove themselves in the game, these were all very good players for us. The loan signings we need to avoid are the players already on 2-3 year big wage contracts with no desire to prove anything. The type of players that become available around Christmas time because they haven't kicked a ball in a competitive game all season. The type of player you sign in sheer panic because you realise you fcucked up over the summer! These are the loan signings we've wasted money on over the last 2-3 years. And its always stemmed from not making the right decisions in the summer. Danny and Ben have already said they wont be making mistakes in the loan market this year. Any loan signings we do make I'm sure they'll do their homework on them first.
I'm completely sick of loan signings myself but If your going to make then youngsters are the way forward. The problem being we already have loads of youngsters ourselves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
