I think he was up there with the best his goal scoring record says that. If he had lived he would have put the England goal scoring record out of sight. I can't remember seeing him play as I was only about 7 when he died but in the 60s I worked with people who had played with him and who had watched him develop in the pro game. They said he was the best.
