Happy with that, looked decent against Hull!

Watford twitter account says 'undisclosed' fee.

Giddings says it's a 12 month contract, with an option for another year.

I don't normally write out 'best' teams as I'm not 15, but out of interest we could look like this against Crawley:

    GK Turnbull
    RB Brown
    CB Cranie
    CB Nyatanga
    LB Dudgeon
    RM Jennings
    CM Bailey
    CM Hourihane
    LM Lazarus
    CF Winnall
CF Hemmings (injured though int he?)

Not a bad side at all, considering the bench could be a good blend of L1 quality and youth with one or two more throug the door over the next week.

We probably already have a better team now than we had in the Championship for the last two seasons...

Signed for one year - with an option for a second.

How does that work exactly? Whose option is it? Is it BFC who choose or the player - either way isn't it just a one year contract?

Anyone know how these things work or can it be asked tonight as this Q&A session?

I've been thinking that, we've got rid of the expensive, 'experienced' sh*t and brought in hungry, skillful, young players who actually want to play football for us. Can't wait to get things underway!

i'm not saying a cracker til i've seen 'em. i remember how excited i was at the start of the season, then again after the january transfer window closed. plus i've not heard of hardly any of the players we've signed, and most of them are from the same league or below

Look at the British nature of the squad! Been a while since we've seen one so domestic isn't it? If you're not gonna have academy roots then this is the next best thing in my eyes.

I would expect it's a kind of 2 year deal but we can cut ties come eos if it doesn't work out and pay no pay off but if he's an asset then the contract continues for a second season.

He's a 'project'. On my bench with Davies, M'Voto, Berry, New Winger, New Striker, Rose, Nana, McHale. Am I allowed that many subs???

    Two scenarios.

    1) He has a great season and teams come a knocking. Player and agent refuse option...Barnsley invoke option...He leaves but we negotiate a transfer fee.

    2) He's a bag of cack. Player and agent invoke option and we have keep him or try to give him away.

4 more in should do it and we have the basis of a top 10 team injuries permitting. A n experience CF and winger are definitely needed.

I think the option is normally in the favour of the club. So if we want to keep him he stays on same terms, if we don't want him he leaves as a free agent. If we want to keep him but he wants to leave then we exercise our option and get a fee for him.
