Jus like to wish all the players and staff at Barnsley all the best for the season!!enjoyed my time at the club good and bad and hope the Club can get back to where it belongs in the champ asap!!thanks to the fans, positive and negative just part and parcel of the game!!

He could have come out and said same as Wiseman and McNulty that they couldnt wait to leave etc, but he has said that. He wasnt the best player but best of luck to him in the Future

Fair play to him for those comments but tbh he should have left along time ago instead of basically stealing a wage, then maybe I would have wished him luck when he left.

with all due respect - fair play my ar$e. easy to be humble, when you've just had your contract paid up. like when $hit managers get sacked and SSN film them leaving the training ground in their M5, with sunglasses on and a big fcukin smile - "yeah of course i'm disappointed, but it's just part & parcel of the game"

Players get released by clubs thus you can argue no loyalty is shown towards players. So when a player under a contract offered to him wants to stay on it, the club just has to get on with it. Don't blame him at all.

Why are we blaming a player for claiming what he was entitled to and agreed by the club? Irrespective of his playing ability, we always seem to want players to suffer. This is business, the business called football. The sooner people realize this, understand what football loyalty is and get on with things the better

Got me as well - dont get me wrong I am not sorry he is going but nothing to do with him as a person I just dont think he was quite good enough for the role he was asked to play when Goldbourne was sold. He did OK initially in a 3 CB system

I wish him all the best in the future and hope he finds another club before the season starts - will laugh if its Blackpool but I expect it will be another 3rd division or even a 4th division club

I can just imagine folk on here choosing to leave their job without being paid up.

Agreed, like anyone here would walk away from money they were entitled to just because their business' customers didn't like them. I bet they wouldn't be half as polite to the customers too, especially after leaving their job.

Eh? I'm not blaming anyone for anything. I'm saying every player & manager comes out with the same b0llocks, after they've had their contracts paid up. I'm not saying I blame him - it's in his contract, fair enough. But don't expect a pat on the back from me for it.

Good luck to him. I thought he'd be ok in L1 but not on the wages he was. Best course of action for both parties was for him to leave. No hard feelings from me though.

Aye, well done Tom. Well done for conning someone into giving you a contract you didn't deserved, playing badly with minimal effort, only to receive twelve months pay to leave with the prospect of a new contract just around the corner. Well done indeed.

It's not a bad life being a footballer. Even a crap one.

That's a bit unfair CT, if anyone is to blame for the terms of his contract its Flicker not TK. He wasn't good enough for the championship and he's gone now but to say he conned a contract doesn't reflect the facts.
