    As you know from the other thread on here we're opening a fans run bar at BFC in honour of Neil Redfearn who was voted at greatest ever player previously. We are looking for some memorabilia of Neil to put in the bar to try and give make feel a bit less like a bookies and lot more like a sports bar.

    One of the constraints we have is that we have to return the area back to how we find it each time we open. Let me , Loko or Hicksy know if you have any ideas on clever ways to achieve this or if you have anything Redders or BFC related you can contribute, even if its just good quality digital images we can get printed and mounted.

    We are also looking at incorporating fans groups flags. Again if that's something you can help with give us a shout.

    Does he know about it yet? Maybe he could donate/lend let us copy some of his personal stuff that's maybe not been seen before.

    My mates an artist, I'll see if he'll do a unique perpex painting for it.

    There are many large plasmas and great big projection screen with the ability to put different things on different screens as well as a great sound system.
    Will be speaking with Mark Stokes to see if we can get some Barnsley Player content to show from the previous week. This would also showcase the great stuff on Barnsley Player for them that dont realise what they are missing for a few quid a month.

    Unfortunately he's got commitments at Leeds this Saturday but the plan is to get him down for an official opening very soon.

    That's a shame. What about any other players from the "redfearn" era?
    Perhaps Martin bullock could pull the first pint, oh no he probably still won't look old enough to drink....

    I've got a decent, framed picture of Danny, Bully, Taggs and Brendan from the early 90's. Would have no probs giving it you, but I've no idea how I'd manage to get it you. No way am I carting it over on the train. I'll try and sort summat.

    The same picture was up in the Mount for years, not sure if it still is as I've not been in there for ages.
