I thought it was right correct choice, I didnt see Glavin play for us and likes of me etc who started watching us play early 90's would say best player for us was Redders
I predicted this thread 3 days ago.... Whitey @Andy__White · Aug 1 @Matt_Bailey1575 @redfearnsbar on a serious note, I guarantee that some lovely person on the BBS disagrees with em calling it Redfearn's Whitey @Andy__White · Aug 1 @Matt_Bailey1575 @redfearnsbar "why not Glavin's?" "should have been McCarthy's" "I'd have preferred Rimmo's" "******* Donovan's"
They could call it The keith brown school of defending for all I care... Percy Turners pork pies sold it for me. Can I ask what size they will be?
Like others have said, could have been Glavin's, Rimmo's, Norman's, Murphie's etc. We went for the captain of our most successful side and the player voted top in last years pole. Obviously different people have different favourites but I reckon Redders would be right up there with most folk. (I never saw Glavin play)
Thought the bar should be known has ... The lumsdon taggart ... Enough said, other than that, what about mitch ward getting a job , he could serve the drunks under the tables without banging his head .....taxi
Bang on with all that, but I'm surprised at the last bit. I always thought you were about the same age as me. Did you not watch Barnsley as a kid or am I being very rude and you're actually much younger than I am? Apologies if it's the latter.
I did the same sort of thing. Now the little guy gets called Homo ET by the bullies outside the therapists.
No, didn't watch Barnsley till I went with my mate and his Dad which I think was around the 1988 season. My Dad's from Sheffield and used to be a Wednesday fan so he was never going to take me although I never remember him ever going to a game. Eventually, I managed to get him to come to Oakwell for quite a few seasons though and get him more interested in the super reds than the Dee Dahs.
I think it's a good name, I mean Redfearns was one of the leading glassworks that the town is famous for.
