Think we will go as we are on Sat. Things not going plan for Danny the timescales he keeps giving are not a good idea. We had "within 24 hours" then, "in the next week" and the latest "before the end of August" For me all the dealings should have been done two weeks before the start of the season, but I accept we are going thro a transition and I will be patient.
not to labour the point, but danny wilson never said we were due to make a wow signing. it just didn't happen
Was at the night with Chris Hitchings & Mark Crossley last night (great night by the way) and it was mentioned the club were in talks with 2 players which didn't get resolved yesterday... But negotiations still ongoing. As long as any player coming in was fit they would also be considered to play on Saturday .... (Even if they were signed Friday!)
First BFC one ive missed for ages last night. Gutted i couldn't make it. Hope the chicken was nice!!!
Danny said to me at half seven last night he was wanting two in for Saturday and one will be a cracker if it comes off. Said will be hard work and a coup so let's see
***NEW WORD ALERT*** The word "WOW" is now history, it was dubious anyway. From now the new signing will be referred to as "A CRACKER!". Who is the "CRACKER" people?????
Yeah it was a the evening with Chris & Mark . Chris was very open in his assessments and thoughts of the management team, Mark was the entertainer with some very amusing stories about his career & Cloughy in particular!
Thanks for the update Kyote, what was Chris' assessment of the team so far? Where was this evening? I'd have gone, but its the first I've heard of it.
It's one that has been run every pre season for a number of years. Held at the Holiday inn in Rotherham. Chris's assessment was that the belief in the team is good with high expectations for this season. He accepts we are light in terms of seasoned professionals within the squad but that's where we were still looking to improve with more signings / loans. That said he said with the right acquisitions of seasoned pro's we have the enthusiasm, energy and pace to compliment from the young uns & it was purely a matter of educating the young lads! On a particular note re the young uns it's apparent that the management team were VERY impressed with James Bree from the academy .... So wTch this space!!
