Entertainment wise he's fantastic. He's great if you want to lose 5-2 rather than 1-0!

There's no doubts about his skill level but fitting into a team & holding a position are also 'skills'.

His biggest problem is bad habits, he's spent most of his career coming on for 20 minutes when the games already won at Celtic. So he's had no defensive responsibilities & no requirement to be physically fit.

It's not his 'tracking back' that's his biggest issue, it's his positioning, he never gets back in to position off the ball, meaning the likes of Dawson (who's all on doing his own position) getting dragged out to the wing covering for him.

If I was McCourt I'd go back to Scotland, go to the States, the A league or to the Far East. He's not cut out for tough football.

I think he'd be a star in the Australian league

Pity he couldn't see through Wiseman...he might still have had a job at Oakwell.

For BFC to get a player of Paddy's skill, there had to be some "hidden" issues ie. fitness, team ethic, etc.

Skill wise, Paddy walks into Premiership all day long.

just so frustrating is Paddy, absolute pleasure to watch when he can be arsed but too much of the time lets the game drift by him, too many managers have washed their hands of him for it not to be his fault. I'll never understand players like him for that, I think every one of us would have absolutely given our all in the game and made a good job of it had w had three quarters of his skill

Pretty much the only joy in watching us last season came from Paddy. If we had been a good team with a decent midfield he would have been ideal. Unfortunately we were poor and it's always the flair players who get criticised so that's the way it was. He's moved on so should we.

This is of course the Keith a Hill who preferred Matty Done to Vaz Te...
