Which youngster at Barnsley do you think has the most potential?

I think there's plenty of promise from a lot of them but there's 3 that really stand out for me and I can see at least one of them having a big future in the game and they are Brad Abbott, George Smith and Nana Boakye-Yiadom.

Abbott looks like a good passer and he can break up play. Very composed for his age and keeps the ball moving.
Smith can put in excellent crosses, can run up and down the left flank all game for fun and defends solidly too.
Nana has the same effect as Jennings. When he gets the ball in space you can hear the crowd get excited as they know he'll create something. Very strong for someone so small aswell, he held off Zayatte for fun against Wednesday

I think Nana in a few years will be class. Only issue atm is he drifts out of the game and lets player escape but he makes up cause of his pace

I thought the lad who played right back against QPR looked good. Lots of energy and attacking promise too.

This looks like potentially being as good a crop of young players coming through at the club that there's been for a number of years. I'm really looking forward to seeing these lads getting their opportunity to develop this season. As to which of them will do best, I honestly don't know. But it's great to see them given a chance.

Bree played for the 18's this afternoon. They were 3-0 up last I heard, he set up the Portuguese lad Pedro for the third.

We've plenty of promising youths. But Smith is the one that excites me the most. Hope he gets over the injury quickly and gives Dudgeon a run for his money.

I agree, we don't need to rely on loans this year as the youngsters can fill in for injuries. Dibble is back up goalie, Bree & McKnight can cover at RB, Cowgill CB, Smith LB, Abbott CM, Nana & McHale RW & LW, Oates & Maris ST

Don't understand it when people say the youngsters won't be ready. How are they ever supposed to be ready if they don't get a chance to prove themselves in a league or cup game situation.

I agree on Smith, although I am biased because I went to the same school as him (same year too) and he was very easy to get along with, could tell then he was a good footballer.

That's a very good point with regards to the loans. Hopefully, everyone in the stands will show patience, tolerance and understanding when any of these lads has a dip in form and/or confidence. Which they will, all youngsters do.

Don't know his name but we've nicknamed him Fallon cos he looks like a young Rory Fallon. Signed him about 2 weeks ago under 18s think he's 17.... Bout 6ft 2 very strong, skill full, tough player. He's a French/Albanian origin, don't know much more about him but from what iv seen I recon 12 months time he will be training with the big boys

Had a great game today and finished off a great move with a great finish for Barnsley's 2nd goal in u18s today
