My Opinion

I'd love to express my opinions on a lot of these topics but at times when I see certain individuals have already posted on it, I tend not to put my view across as I'll probably just get called names or ridiculed instead of a reasonable debate which you'd expect between supporters of the same club. I'm not naming names mostly because I don't need to.

Surprised some of these don't get banned while hemsworth who wasn't that bad did get banned.

Some great posters on here but the bad eggs partly ruin it for me.

Bit of a myth on here that newcomers get ignored etc. As for bad eggs, course there is. It's a forum comprised of different folk. Like being at school/work tha never going to get along with everybody.

You can't have an opinion on here because yes you are right you tend to get slated, these are probably the people who run on the pitch at the end of the season and spoil it for the real fans that want to stay behind and thank the team

I have to agree with the top post, I have been visiting this forum for many years now, way before I first created an account and for the best part I have been a reader only for the same reasons as Jake. Why bother posting something if your likely to be abused.

Thankfully the majority on here are sensible, which is why I have kept reading over the years, but several comments go over the line and this I feel is holding back a lot of people like me from joining in more often.

 

I've been posting on this forum since 2005 ( I think I was the first to join after Gally set it up) and I've posted on previous incarnations since 1998. I've never had a problem with anyone in fact I've made some good cyber mates and a couple of good friends in the real world.

I try to avoid posts which are deliberately made to wind folk up. I don't go in for name calling or anything like that and I try to accept that just because someone doesn't disagree with me doesn't mean they are wrong (they are though :tongue: ).

I did begin to find Hemsworth Tykes trolling a little wearing as it would mess up threads, but I also feel that some of the chasing him around the board was also tedious.

If you are thin skinned then you may struggle but otherwise dip your toe, but remember just because we support the same club doesn't mean we always have the same opinion either about football or the wider spectrum of life experiences.

I watched that live, as a little lad. I thought it was real.

 

One of the things I like about this board is that you can ask questions about non-footy issues and someone will be able to offer advice.

 

Unfortunately the genes haven't passed on too well, a lot of my family say I couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag

 

A good tip mate, wet the paper bag first, it nearly always works for me.

 

One thing I like about this site is that some one starts a thread about a topic and it all gets lost about 6 comments down and ppl post videos of Ultimate Warrior which is nothing to do with the topic pmsl
