In the past these round 1 fixtures have been used more as a friendly than a competitive game, resting a few players or experimenting or both, but I think tomorrow the best thing would be to go full strength, the more games these lads play together the faster they'll gel, learn their roles and learn one another's patterns of play, runs ect.

I don't think making 4/5 changes by resting some players for Saturday is worth it, niggles aside I'd rather see Danny put out his best team.

I'm not sure Tracey will be fit enough to play beyond 45mins and I've no idea if Lita has done pre-season with another team. Both subs for me, get them both on later in the game for some match sharpness. Turnbull should start according to DW.

Downside is that if Crewe choose to rest players then they'll learn a lot more about us than we would of them ahead of Saturday's league fixture and they'll be a little fresher, but I doubt it'll be much of an advantage if any.

    Thoughts?

Anyone know if Redfearn's is open Tomorrow? Took the old man on Saturday, top marks to all involved.

I don't think we have the luxury of resting players; we have to gel and only games will do this so I would be playing my best XI.

I`d make changes and am sure Danny will use it to get experience into some of the youngsters and a bit of match fitness into some of the latecomers.

I`d play Brown and Mvoto as a central pairing so we can see what Brown has in that position.

Abbott for Bailey, Nana for Perry would be only changes unless Turnbull is fit, treacy and lita on subs bench

    Bit of both
Id be inclined to start Nana to see how he does Not sure whether to start Lita and Treacy or plan to bring them on for the last 30 mins but would leave the rest of the side alone - dont want too many changes as the players need to get to know each other but dont think we necessarily need to play exactly the same side
It should be a fullish strength side though and not too experimental
