It was good to see us playing a passing game on Saturday but we lost the physical and ariel battles in final 3rd... I still feel Danny and Ben have plans to dip into transfer market and I am hoping Target man is high on list otherwise we will be bullied by physical sides like Crawley... a striker who knows and has played in this division e.g. Leon Clarke. Although we have a strong first choice XI, we have few options in reserve...

I have a feeling at least 3 more to come in Peter Ramage, Brian Howard, and a Target man... is Rhys Murphy still on the radar I wonder?
The sqaud as it stands is young and talented, an experiencced head would blend well...

I seriously doubt that we can afford Howard, Ramage and one other, particularly if the third one's a striker.

Wilson has already said that's probably it. I think 3 more unless we pick up injury is way off the mark.

Best available target man was apparently low down on our wanted list and went to Sheff Utd

Looked pretty good on Saturday as well. Lethal around the box.

seems we all saw very differing games on saturday after Craine debate yesterday... But yes, the game I saw Barnsley vs Crawley, Barnsley tried to play a passing game... and stuck to it rather than goiing long

Dannys post match reaction "I don't think we've worked their 'keeper enough... There were a lot of mis-placed passes and we lacked that composure in the final third... We need somebody up there who can make it stick and bring a bit of guile and experience" said Wilson.

Pretty much sums up my assessment... we lacked experience and compsure in final 3rd, and missed place passes to often... tried to do the right things but young guns didn't have guile and experience needed to take control of game... Especially with a man down...

I believe Lita would have made difference Saturday, problem is if we pick up injuries we lack strength in depth... Big clogger up front would have certainly given us option on sat

He said after the game that there may be a couple more. I think what he saw during the game changed his mind.

And I agree, we do need more. A specialist right back for starters.

Should have stuck Mvoto up front for last 10. Get the ball in the box and he'll win his fair share. A coming together with Jensen would have been interesting too.

A thought Brown played well saturday.

I thought he was ok. But I'd like to see him at centre half.

If he's not available, then who plays there?

We need another option at least.

A think like a few have said we're 2/3 players still light. Although I want us to play football, sometimes knocking the ball long gives the team a little breather and time to re group, personally a thought we was a Chris o'grady short Saturday.

Hemmings will offer us some height I imagine.

Mate who's a Donny fan said Brown was awful at centre back when he was on loan there... and from what I have seen, he likes to get forward, he has pace, he can cross a ball and is as good a right full back as I have seen at the club... And from squad number (2) and games so far Danny see's him as full back...
Why the desperation to move him to centre back! We have natural centre backs in Mvoto and Nayatanga... and utility man Crainie who can cover across back four...

If thats the case... lets put Craine to Mvoto to right back (where he started his career) and Crainie to central midfield (role he played when he was signed)...

Personally, I prefer him where he is...

The majority of teams in League One will be physical and I'm not convinced a young inexperienced side like Barnsley will be able to cope with it.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Crainie moved on, that would probably free up wages for 2 or 3 more players. I think we could survive without Crainie.

My thoughts exactly. We hoofed the ball up front towards 2 lads that had very little chance of winning it. I'm 6'4" and nearly 17 stone. Can I get a game up front please, Danny?
