Was that you that returned my Wallet in Redfearns?? never met ya or seen ya so don't know…. But if it was you…. You are a GENT!!
I was running late, had a thousand things going on in my head, i realised after i should have said who are ya! But i was not thinking… hence losing wallet
Whether it was him or not, he's still a gent, but don't let him hear me say that. Went in Redfearn's tonight. Acorn Blonde, pork pie, that'll do for me. Well done lads.
And its something i have done in the past so i am really grateful Jamdrop. I just wasn't sure who it was and wanted to say a huge public …. THANKYOU
Can't have been Gally he is away this week. Good to see you again briefly. Top lads and lasses behind that bad and I'm sure everyone would do the same thing in there. Glad you didn't lose it tho!
No doubt everyone would have, had a good chat with the girl behind the bar. You will be getting a pm hicksy.. Yeah where was my pint on your account haha.. running off before you opened your wallet haha
The pie is ruined when adding anything other than HP sauce. May as well have a supermarket special drowned in peas and gravy.
I'd heard about these Percy Turner's pork pies for ages and now, having had a couple of them tonight, I can agree that they are fab. Looking forward to another couple next match!
I like them, but Rob Royds are even better. Perfection. Other than the cholesterol they give me like.
Mate , you have to try the Rob Royd pies, they make Speed seem plain !! I love Speeds growlers, but the Rob Royd pies are awesome !!
Therein lies the problem. I'm supposed to be on my two-month 'beat the practice nurse' low cholesterol diet before I have my annual blood test. I only did a month last year and it did the trick, but I reckon she'll be looking for a further reduction this year too. By my reckoning that'll take two months to achieve. Of course, every year it will take me a little longer to cheat the system and get my cholesterol down before the blood test until eventually it takes twelve months of good dieting, at which point I realise the practice nurse has won!
I can do it in a couple of weeks at the moment. Oats for breakfast, plenty of beans, chickpeas, lentils, nuts and oily fish, all topped off by a bit of benecol. Don't know who I'm trying to fool, myself or the nurse. I actually like all that crap, but I like Rob Royds pork pies, Charlesworth's pork sandwiches with beef dripping, fish and chips, egg custard and curd tarts a hell of a lot more. I've always had a reasonably healthy diet, plenty of the good stuff listed above plus loads of fruit and veg, but it's always been balanced with the pork pies and that too. That used to see me OK, but now I'm supposed to cut out all the stuff that's apparently bad for me. **** that, I'd rather be dead.
Never had em. Intrigued now. Where could I procure them from, considering I only get over for home games on a Saturday between 12 and 7?
Rob Royds farm shop on Keresforth Hall Road. Top of Racecommon Road, turn up past the Bush pub (now closed) to the car park for Locke Park, carry on for about half a mile and it's on your left. Get some Paradise Slices while you're there, ******* gorgeous. Unfortunately, it's only about 10 minutes walk from my house so I eat about 2 pork pies a day on average. They've got a cafe too. Take your lass, she'll love it. You'll be getting blow jobs from now 'til Christmas.
Brilliant. I know the area. Not sure if I've ever been in like, name really dunt ring a bell, but aye, nay bother finding that. I might bob in before the Donny match, then have a Percy's in Redders later on in some kind of acid heartburn tempter of a comparison. Cheers, pal.
