Just got back. This is a true assessment, but we gave the ball away after 4 passes for nearly 60 minutes. Why don't we get up and go at them?
Cheers, Jay. I listened to the commentary and it didn't sound owt like you've said. But the majority have agreed with you so I'll go with the majority and remain upbeat and positive. Fingers crossed we beat, erm, Crewe on Saturday.
My thoughts… for what its worth…. i think RNL has bulked up, but this seems to have slowed him down a bit, he looked to be struggling to run at time. there seemed to be a reluctance to pass to Bree in the first half even though he was in acres of space. Brown, Lewin and Crainie look like the makings of a good defence. Hourihane was not as commanding as he should be, Bailey looked well and wanted the ball and run his socks off, McHale when he came on - looked a real threat. i like Mvoto upfront (though could have slapped the bloke near me who kept calling him Jeannie!!!) Nana could have done with 15 mins to try and make more of an impact Winnall was almost anonymous first half, and can't believe he missed from 10yds…. i might have scored that!!!! Treacy and Lita looked a yard or 2 short of match practice. for what its worth..
Agree with everything Jay said, were just lacking in final third. Thought McHale did well on his debut but needs a final ball.
You have to credit The Crewe number 9 for not giving up on their first goal. I think everyone thought the ball was going out, but he somehow headed it back into the danger zone. We were caught napping by it, and conceded. Fair play to him for not giving up.
You cant say that !!! People will have you hung, drawn and quartered for suggesting that Crainie may be not a good as they think. I have some nice pm`s already Daft buggers .
