Super Danny Wilson...

I just cannot believe why some 'fans' that post on here continue to go down to Oakwell. The negativity is simply laughable. Recent posts / comments today have included: Danny Wilson out / should never have come back / tarnished legend... blah, blah, blah, etc. etc.

Yes, you pay your money and you are entitled to your bizarre opinions. I am just sick to death of it, its nearly as bad as watching the news on TV - always doom and gloom...



I have nothing against constructive comments - but it's a new team, with the most players making their debuts on Saturday since 1946. What did we expect? A 5-0 home win? It's going to take time, so let's get behind the team. We all knew that the old squad was a shambles and needed reinvigorating; and that's exactly what Danny has done.

I didn't get to the match last night, but it was great to hear that we are showing encouraging signs of promise.

We lost......again.... Crawley had as many new players in their side, they won and won last night against a Championship side...... Yet some say we were the better team Crawley were crap , tell that to the Crawley fans

 

Agree with the sentiment, but the pedant in me needs to point out that, whilst Barnsley had 7 debutants in their starting line up at home to Crawley, they had 9.

 

I am 100% behind Danny, but I support Barnsley FC, not any one individual. He won't want folk making excuses for him, he's already said you can't hide behind kids or the fact we're a new team. He has to get results, otherwise folk will look a tad hypocritical because that was why Keith was sacked despite him having to rebuild the squad about three times in twelve months.

I am not putting any pressure on Wilson, I want him here in the long term, but I don't agree with those suggesting we stick with him even if we never win or a score a goal or we end up in L2. That's just stupid.
