Indeed. Just hope we've put a decent sell-on clause in there.

Agreed. He's just not cut out for anything above league 2, or at least won't be for the next 2 years or so.

Personally I think we've pulled the trigger too quickly but I trust Danny W to make the right decisions. Good luck Danny Rose.

To many young players spend to much time on the bench behind so called better more experienced players so if Danny thinks he can get game time there that he won't get at barnsley good luck to him.....

Dunno if there's owt fishy going on, but it does seem to have happened extremely quickly. I know Lita was unavailable and Hemmings injured, but we had McHale, Nana and Oates available, all three can play up front and all three have had game time this season, but it was Rose who got the nod to start the season alongside Winnall. Danny must have seen something in him. That doesn't all go away over the course of 65 minutes.

Transfers do happen quickly sometimes. Maybe, when Rose heard of Flicker's interest, he expressed a desire to leave.

No idea how Rose will get on in future, haven't seen anywhere near enough of him to judge, but I wish the lad well. Time now to concentrate on our other youngsters who are breaking through. To be honest, I've been more impressed with Bree and Mchale from the little I've seen of them than I was with Rose. Early days though.

I don't honestly know. Hopefully, they'll stay and be a part of the club's renaissance.

For RNL I am starting to think the same though who knows - something somewhere went wrong with him as he hasnt done as well as we thought he would - at least so far

For Digby its far too soon to tell - he could be another Butterfield or he could drift away to the conference - he really hasnt had the game time to make any opinion

I am a bit sad Rose has gone - I thought in league 1 we might have given him a bit more of a chance - one poor game in a side that wasnt firing was hardly enough to get an idea. Surprised we didnt just do another loan if we needed to free up some wages to bring a target man in.

Fee is undesclosed ( big shock! ) but I cant see it being much more than 50K- 75K tops for now though hopefully with a decent sell on ( and international call up :) ) add on

My theory, is he played on loan last season, given a game or two at the end and through pre season into this season start. we desperately need another option and Danny was banking on it being Danny R. Unfortunately he didn't seize his opportunity. I think we will bring another striker in soon and this move makes way and avoids Danny being a 4th or 5th choice. Im guessing that's why timing seems to be quick. at the stage of his career playing games in L2 is better than fringes of the team in L1.

This is only my opinion of course and I haven't seen a black merc reg NU PLYA in the car park nor got any neighbors who have friends who know for deifinate that's its a done deal.

Let me guess, we gave them £500 and no sell on clause.

Good luck to him. But I am disappointed - he's clearly a goal scoring talent. A season-long loan would have been smarter imo.

    Still angry about this.

    He deserved a chance here.

Look forward to seeing him be a massive success at Bury
