Thanks, I'm proud. It wasn't a great leap. If being a city alone means a club should get 20k+ attendances . . . you know what, forget it.
My take on the JOB! Loved his effort and commitment for BFC! Ability questions aside. I liked JOB. I hope/think his agent knew they'd be back at the Ricoh soon. If so fair play Jimbo. Good luck lad. Your previous efforts deserve a future!
They used to only get 12,500 in the championship and that ground is ridiculous size for such a poor supported club. They should have never moved from highfield... that was a great ground that!
One of my favourite players of the past ten years and I wish him all the best. Just responding to the original poster who makes it sound like on the basis of one big crowd he made the correct decision turning us down.
They won't have owt near that crowd for the next game, might have looked full as the game started but after 30 minutes it looked like more people were on the concourse than in their seats...can't have missed the team that much. Sky were loving over them big time and every other football fan seems to have sympathy for them because of their owners - were the Coventry fans moaning about them when they were spending a fortune in the Championship trying to get them promoted to the Prem? No they weren't - they only want to get rid of the owners because they aren't throwing money around any more.
Averaged 10k the last full season they were there excuse me while I eat my humble pie! WELL DONE JIM YOUR MOVE IS ENTIRELY VALIDATED BECAUSE YOU PLAYED IN FRONT OF 28K ONCE AND WON 1-0!!!! Well played to him for being so resolved and professional through the whole thing, not like he nearly broke one of our players legs when we played against him or anything..
I dont feel sorry at all for clubs like coventry at all. I can remember a few years ago talking to a cov fan in the dove inn before our first home game of season (they gubbed us 4-1) he was giving it large for ten minutes about how much brass their owners have and theyll walk the league with this kind of money. Fans love it when their owners splash the cash but never think of the possible consequences when it goes t1ts up and just blame the very same owners they were worshipping months ago. I hate clubs falsely spending money they havent got, paying players money they dont deserve and money they cant afford. Its happening all over the leagues, bristol city will be the next coventry, unless leeds, notts f or leyton orient beat them to it. Coventry were not being unfairly punished and suddenly found redemption, they were just reaping what they sowed, just like portsmouth did so fantastically.
