It's not club it's the bellends that support um and claim to be Barnsley fans they play at same time you can't support both
Makes no difference they'll be back if we draw a decent team in cup, pushed away fair enough but stay away don't come back when it suits, you can't support both like some on here try to say they do, by supporting one you're not supporting the other, pick one team and stick with um
i think you'll find people can do what they want. and they would probably do it even more, if they knew how much it annoyed you
Lived in Athersley 19 years, seen the club develop right under my nose. I have mates that laik/have laiked for em over the years. Why should i not be proud of that club and their achievements and support em when Barnsley are away/not playing? You sir, are a b@11b@g.
Good post ^^^^^^^^ Im a Wombwell lad and down the years, Athersley Rec have been a long-standing rival......I've nothing but praise for how they have progressed. For sure, they will get my £5 tomorrow night versus Aquaforce. Both clubs, for me, are a credit to the Barnsley area and its football heritage.
Il never pick athersley over Barnsley but I am bit than happy paying £5 tomorrow when Barnsley are not playing . Does that make me a cun1 I don't think it does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's dose if you use money as a excuse for not watching Barnsley away when you're paying money to watch them. Save you're 5er and putting toward supporting the team you claim to
I'm an Athersley North lad. It's where r old boy still lives, and much of my family. In fact, r old boys house is just 100 yards from San Sheerien. He stopped going to Oakwell in 2009. He'd had enough after nearly 40 years. His excuses are his excuses. They don't wesh wi me. Said he was bored by it, wasn't how football once was, just felt like a customer paying out of his arse for a **** experience. I've felt similarly, but I'm still there. However, when I get to 50 I might change like he did. He's been to the odd game since, and he still knows everything there is to know about BFC, still cares. He went to the Gills game while I was on holiday, think the pull of Danny is getting him back into it. This is the bloke who introduced me to my club. Wish he'd jump back on board. In the meantime, he's 100 yards down't road watching Rec. Goes regularly with his pals. Drinking before, during and after. I can certainly see why it appeals to some. Me? Not really. I like what they do, I want em to do well, and were I just up the road I'd pop darn when tarn weren't playing. But I'm a Barnsley supporter. Even as an Athersley lad, I couldn't start supporting them over my club. I couldn't start supporting any other club. I was born into this. It's just who I am. And I love it. And hate it. Good luck to Rec, Porky etc.
Hello, it's Bellend here! Not sure if this thread falls into the wind up or grammatical genius catagory. As such I feel I really need answers to the following questions to enable me to construct a reasonable response. (a) are the BFC supporting Rec players and/or management allowed to support and pay to watch the Reds when/if the Rec haven't got a game? (b) should I really change my allegiance to North Gawber as I'm a Staincross lad even though Rec is closer as the crow flies from my birth home? (c) when Morrisons (my supermarket of choice) is closed and not trading is it ok to pop into 24hour ASDA for a few bits? (d) isn't bell end 2 seperate words? Thanks I advance.
