    I've got a painting of this on my home wall but can't upload a picture as I'm onboard the ship right now so il describe it... Hopefully you know what I mean!

    Walking from town up Bala street to the junction with Belgrave road... Just at the summit by Oakwell news Oakwell appears before you, the old west stand in all it's glory and the 3 newer stands poking out above... In the distance and behind Oakwell sits the dearne valley and the pit head of Barnsley main ... Not a finer sight to behold

    There's one knocking about, I think it's looking over the Ponty, where everything is looking resplendent in red - the seats, the stands but particularly the sky Proving that even the lord above is a reds fan. :biggrin:

    Plenty mentioned already that I like but what about the one of the players just starting to run towards Colgan after the last penalty against Swansea.

    There was a good one of the players reaction when Colgan saved the penalty vs Swansea, and we were up. Bobby Hassell was mid air, I seem to remember.

    Also, (and I don't know if this was part of the exhibition in the Town Hall), but there was a great series of photos of the queue of fans waiting to buy a programme for the West Ham Premiership game.

    My favourite is Stuart Roy Clarke's famous photo of the wall behind the old Ponty End. In looking for an image of that I came across a few photos of the old Ponty and it got me thinking. I first stood in the Ponty around Easter 1977, so I've actually spent more seasons in the 'new' Ponty than in the old one. Crazy! It doesn't seem like two minutes ago since we were all packed in there for the Everton game, or when those two Grimsby fans just couldn't keep their gobs shut after they'd beaten us 1-0 (and soon learned a harsh lesson) in the early 80s, or since I was queuing at the grotty refreshment stand to get my dad a cup of tea because he was shivering with the cold, or queuing up at the equally grotty souvenir kiosk wishing I could have a big badge with Brian Joicey on it, or standing there wondering how on earth the wind and rain were blowing at me from the front and from behind, or...
