Everyone followed though, Western Europe and Eastern Europe, I agree with water and electric and gas being public but nothing else, the state is poor at managing anything really.

Railways I don't know, no-one can make those pay, they're simply uneconomical so either you get huge subsidies or huge fares and if you're really unlucky, both.

    Nobody!!!!!!!
Funny how they always end up in public ownership and thrive . that is until the Tories get in and sell them again to their mates to rape and pillage.and hack off the subsidies

Nick Robinson the BBC mouthpiece in the ultimate put down.

When is all this lies and intimidation gonna stop. It no longer is working. Better together are running scared and have come off the tracks.

The Yes campaign just gets stronger. Pleasing.

Not arsed, at all, either way.

I like Scotland, nice place to visit. I've Scottish friends. I'm going up there in March for a family wedding. None of that will be altered by this vote. I cheered their equaliser t'other neet against Germans. I wish them all the best in whichever path they end up going down. Can't say as I blame them for leaving a very southern England biased Britain if indeed they do. But I'm British as well as English. Proud to be both. But not as proud as I am to be a Yorkshireman, and nowhere near as much pride as I've got in me for being frum Tarn.

Really **** them up when the exit polls results showed the yes vote in front.
In fact Westminster sent up the three men on a vote in panic.

That's when the media went into overdrive, mind you they still have the outcome of the Levinson to worry about so by giving g the yes campaign a good kicki g they are hoping to gain favour from all the main party's in one fell swoop.

My heart would love a yes decision by the Scots but my head says a no vote would be a better outcome for the socially conscious among us in the rest of the UK.

I realise why most of you would rather we stayed. All those Labour votes lost in a day. Music to Cameron's ears.

Unfortunately the labour party in England has lost its roots and creditability. A total overhaul is required.

I'm really getting right p1ssed off with all the hollow threats and pathetic intimidation which the Govt, Banks, BBC, Papers, Supermarkets are applying. TBH no one now seems to give a ****. That tactic has lost the day. How mant times must their bluff be called?
Today the Labour Party sent up to Glasgow a train load of Supporters to add weight to the No's and if failed big time. Shouted and laughed out of Buchanan Street.
TBH all of that is just stoking up more resentment against ever voting for the Union.

I honestly can't wait to see how this plays out, just wish the vote would get done and put all this to one side. The grass isn't always greener etc springs to mind.

Wish people would think the same down here tbh but those tactics work nowadays south of the border, one headline from the Tory press and their frothing at the mouth wanting to string up the unemp!oyed or tip the disabled out of their chairs etc

AI, do you think that a yes vote could be the end of Alex Salmond? i.e. Scotland gain independence from Westminster then the Scottish Labour Party win the next Scottish election.

Oh and if it is a yes, Cameron epitaph - "the PM who lost Scotland" - bet Boris can't wait.

TBH mate I do think once Independence is achieved Salmond will step down and always be remembered as the man who got Scotland its Freedom.

    The modern day William Wallace.

As for the SNP. Doubt they will continue as top dogs in the country. Labour would IMO take most votes and seats in the General Election.
Many people like myself who vote SNP only because Labour have turned into a bunch of fannies. That war mongering wanna be Blair ruined everything for the Labour party in this country and TBH Miliband is so weak and out of touch he really has to be replace if Labour is to be a creditable force again.

    Only my opinion BTW

You're only saying because it fits in with your agenda Ian. The no voters are all saying the exact same thing about Alex Salmond. The self serving fat pig.

Whatever your opinion is of the man, he is winning the argument hands down. Calling him a fat pig really does you no favours. You really are showing yourself up as an uneducated bigoted moron.

I pity those in south west Scotland, currently ignored by Westminster only to be ignored by those in Edinburgh and Aberdeen when independence is achieved.:frown:
