Just been informed from a good friend that Yorkshire have won the League. Not my favourite sport and I know little of it but well done. Hope you party well tonight.
1) Yorkshire CCC winning the County Championship. 2) Hull City making the FA Cup Final and making Europe. 3) Tour De France coming here. 4) All Yorkshire Challenge Cup final in Rugby League. 5) Kel Brook becoming the first British fighter for nearly 30 years to go to America and beat their unbeaten champion. Five different sports. Not a bad 2014 for Yorkshire sport.
And going out at the first hurdle! Are they classed as Yorkshire again then....because Look North never talk about them and have even referred to Leeds or Wednesday as the top side in Yorkshire!
Not bad going out on away goals though. We've a good sporting county. I believe at the Commonwealth games we gave England the most medals like we gave Great Britain the most medals at London 2012. Yorkshire should dominate as much as Hoylandswaine do the local league. Only different being Yorkshire are there off the back of a fantastic youth system.
Have Barnsley FC officially publicly congratulated Yorkshire yet? I.e. Twitter etc Nice to hear Dizzy is a Barnsley fan in his interview after the victory.
Jason Gilespie is a Barnsley fan? Never heard that before only Martyn Moxon and Azeem Rafiq. As I said yesterday it would be lovely if we invited Martyn Moxon at the very least or if possible the whole team down to a game so they can parade the trophy sometime. Bradford game would be the best option with it being a Yorkshire derby and on tv.
