What's the link between nuclear defence and someone getting a free house? Does she think she will automatically get a free house in an independent Scotland? Can't see it myself.

Still, Trident and North Sea oil are the answers to all questions and the no campaigners are just liars and bullies.

It is a fact that the UK spends Billions of pounds on nuclear subs ans missiles. It is also a fact that not enough money is spent on building houses.

no i know there is a deeper point here but come on. The issue over trident seems to be massive and the yes campaign are using it as a battering ram to force home their opinion. If we as a united kingdom need trident and i know im biased but i think we do then it will provide security and many thousands of jobs elsewhere if scotland vote yes. if they vote no il enjoy visiting faslane and the beautiful surrounding countryside every couple of years for the foreseeable future.

You saw Miliband and his reaction. He was on the streets to supposedly offer help and support to the Scots and to reassure them that he and his lot would look after the electorate and we would be better together.

I agree that Labour elected the wrong person to lead them but I just don't understand the point this lass is making? Had she raised the point of immigration, the selling off of council houses or the scandalous prioritisation system used for allocating social housing I could have seen a legitimate point to her query but Trident? Sorry but she was just looking for an argument and her two minutes of fame which thanks to social media she seems to have achieved.

How do you know if that girl is in a position to afford 50k mortgage. She is more than likely on a minimum wage and looking for a council house of which are at times hard to come by because of lack of them being built.

Miliband has certainly went right down in my estimations by not having the bottle or common decency to give an answer.

 

As she claims to be homeless and was out with her kids in the middle of the day ill guess she isnt on any wage.

By the way minimum wage is enough for a 50k mortgage and the cheapest property I saw on rightmove in paisley was just 17k (two bed) or she could rent for just 68 quid a week (two bedrooms as shes got a kid) which is cheaper than most council

Well done Super Tyke and I bow to your superior knowledge on minimum wage and homelessness. I my self am totally ignorant on these matters but I would have expected that the likes of Miliband to have those answers if he has any ambitions at all of becoming a countries leader.

 

So are the new Scottish govt going to start knocking a load of new houses up too for people to live in for next to nowt? To go with free education and prescriptions. A lot of stuff to pay for. I suppose the oil will pay for it all. And the comparatively small amount you'll save from trident.
