He, like the other 10, was absolutely anonymous until he hit two corkers. His lack of experience at this level is pretty clear - shows that with some patience we've got some real talent to look forward to, though.
Because he scored 2 worldies he had a reight game? Cracking goals and he will become a top, top player, but his overall game today wasn't very good i'm afraid, Mr Tyke_80.
Guess he didn't bust forward, put balls through and tracked back better than any midfielder play for us in years.
Not brilliant but ok. Can't be anonymous if he scores 2 and misses a sitter from 10 yards. I have seen a lot busier midfielders last few years who have had less impact in a season that Hourihane in 6 games. He does look far better though in the formation with Bailey.
Two cracking goals, did get box to box and put effort in, but didn't create much and missed a good chance to open the scoring, which may have made the game a very different one.
No Reds player got anything close to a brilliant game today. A couple were okay, but that's the best we had. However, Hourihane scored two absolute crackers.
For me until we scored I thought every player was pretty piss poor. Just an off day really, good to end the game with 3 goals to our name though!! Onwards and upwards eh???
He was by far our best midfielder today, but still didn't contribute much other than his goals and hitting the post from 6 yards. However he was still better than Jennings, who had a shocker.
There is that tbf. When we played the ball on the deck, through the midfield (i.e. Hourihane) in the first 30 minutes we were the better team. Exactly the same at Yeovil. However after the goal he was bypassed as we resorted to lumping it. I'm baffled as to why they employed these tactics but from now on it needs to stay on the deck and the talented midfielders we have need to be used.
