http://lovebarnsleyhatefootball.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/wake-up-call.html Just a word or two that I forgot to include - Hemsworth Tyke. Spent a bit of time in Phil's company yesterday. A truly lovely lad, and I hope he'll be able to return to the forum. But that's nowt to do with me. Cheers.
Enjoyable read Andy, old mate. I wish I could find something to criticise, but I can't! I take it none of what Ben discussed with you was off the record?
we've all got pi$$ed up and gone a bit too far at games. i wouldn't worry about it. you're an otherwise good egg. did you ask ben how the normals get to be involved in his new fan club...sorry...forum...cos no one else would. oh..and did you ask hemsy why he's such a maniac on BBS? if he's such a lovely lad, outside pathological behavioural issues, i just don't get it
Cheers Whitey. Hope Ben doesn't mind you blogging what was discussed but it's certainly interesting to know what was discussed and reassuring around some of the aspects. Glad I didn't go yesterday. Only positive has to be it seems almost all were off the pace, and we have some of our more experienced pros to come back. Jennings is in danger of blowing a great deal of potential. It's only down from L1 unless the lad puts in the effort and shows his form.
Thanks for that. I was told that Danny was given the choice of Proschwitz or Sigurdsson from Wolves in January as another striker option, and that was it. Don't know why, I suppose maybe they were all that was available in that mould.
He didn't at any point say "don't share what I've told you". He was fully aware that I'd be posting my thoughts as usual on the blog, so I'm pretty sure he expected to be quoted, and, if he's read it, he'll know I've not said anything that he didn't. If you get me? I think yesterday was horrific, Kev. The performance atrocious, and my behaviour in spells was just moronic. But as I always say, I'm still learning. But I feel sorry for folk sat near me at times. I'd slap me.
Nowt to be said, mate. I was as good as gold all afternoon except for a period in the second half where I got gobby and irate. I ended up leaving in injury time, then spoke outside to both stewards and police and said I'm a bellend. They said I was polite and well spoken and probably ought to stop watching Tarn if it brings out the lovely person in me. I then upset the missus by falling asleep on the train home, ended up in Hebden Bridge while she was sat waiting in Bradford interchange. In other words, John, I can't take my ale like I once could. I didn't have too many, but those I did drink I chucked back too quickly. Bellend.
I'm told by Ben that I personally got an invite because they know I've the blog and it regularly gets over 1,000 views so I'd be ideal in helping get Ben's message across. But plenty of fan groups were invited, as well as everyday supporters such as yourself. If you want to attend these forums I can only advise you to contact Ben by email, mate. I've seen Phil before. His nature wasn't a surprise, I already know he's a lovely kid. But he's an opinionated bugger, like me, and he's young. He goes too far at times, but he's right about a lot of things too. I advised him 'if' he ever came back on, to chill it out a bit with the slightly iffy stuff that causes the meltdowns, but here, am not his dad or owt and as much as I like him I've had grief off him myself in the past. Maniac? Dunno. But if he was the lovely lad he is in reality, on here, he'd probably be lost amongst us gobby bellends.
You were absolutely killing me in the last 20 minutes. Nearly turned round and had a Sheff Wednesday MKII wi' thi.
I'm sure I'll find out if I wasn't meant to. But seriously, I can't see why he'd tell a blogger what he did, knowing I was going to blog it the next day, if it wasn't meant for public consumption. Glad you enjoyed it.
Why does he have to snipe at ex players and ex employees? Spose its easy when they aren`t there to give a reply. Or is he just trying to curry favour and going with the flow/opinions, at this moment in time, of our most vocal supporters. Wonder what he`ll have to say abart the club when he moves on.
Tha knows summat, Liam? I kind of wish thad said summat. Bloody Roy and Dave just laugh at me. I need telling when am like that. Even called Wilson 'w.ank' at one point.
Aye, think it was that that did me. Summat about 'you deserve this for not subbing Jennings'. I just bit mi tongue and called you a lovely person under mi breath.
I think he's clever. But he's young. Bundle of energy, probably gets a bit ahead of himsen at times. But I sat and listened to Huddersfield's chairman the other night, and he's very forthcoming and takes no prisoners. Maybe it's the way it is now? As he said himself, if he and Don were merged they'd be ideal. It's oreight saying COG was on this and that etc, but who rubber stamped that bloody wage? I think he's a positive thing for us, Ben. But he's young and aye, he'll make mistakes. Dunt we all?
times like that you just need a mate to say 'whitey, tha bein' a kn0bhead. pack it in'. nice leveller, and diffuses the prospect of some random getting involved to turn things nasty
