DIdn't Wilson say in a recent interview that someone just had another injection and is out for 'some time' Big miss if true
Playing first team football for Peterborough. Not many keepers i know of tbh, only Jack Butland but we can't afford him nor he wouldn't want L1 football
No he is first choice at Peterborough this season If Turnbull really is out for a while - and its looking more and more likely - an experienced keeper is needed from somewhere
At the moment id take anyone experienced or not. At the moment its like weve got alex brooker in goal
We have in the making IMHO a good keeper In Davies. He also has an extremely Good goal keeping coach.... Mark Crossley. I believe excellent standard just yet, But I believe he will. If Turnbull is out for the suggested time then yes I do agree we may need to get in another on loan , as we will be with just 2 fit keepers. Dibble seems to be progressing, but is even younger...and if Davies or he get a problem , then we are left with our even younger academy Keepers... I would like to think our excellent academy is bringing one through, but we need to cover our asses now.
Re: We have in the making IMHO a good keeper In Davies. Crossley could coach me 24/7 for the next 5 years but i would still be ****
really ... obviously you do not know or have never met Mark then I have, And I know different. I am a personal friend of his Mum and Dad... and have met Mark on many many occasions. I know the level of respect he commands in the football world as a Goal keeping coach.... and I know that one person in particular also saw him as a top level coach too, and was ready for him to go and help coach his keepers......... But that guy maybe was no judge of excellence ... that guy is Sir Alex Ferguson.
Re: really ... obviously you do not know or have never met Mark then And you are telling me this for why?
Re: really ... obviously you do not know or have never met Mark then Think he's trying to say the crossley could make a keeper out of you yet
Re: We have in the making IMHO a good keeper In Davies. I believe we have a decent young goalkeeper in Davies. He's still very raw (played a grand total of six league games) and is therefore a million miles away from the finished article. Which is what you'd expect. Saturday's game was the first one in the league where I think he's made errors when conceding. But it's my opinion he'll prove a very able understudy to Ross Turnbull, once he's fit. Still, it's de rigueur to dish out OTT criticism to our inexperienced kids and I'll openly admit I've never been a follower of fashion.
because you obviously do not know what we have on our hands We have a squad that's very capable, we have a backroom staff that also very capable, we have a club that's being run financially well. We are trying to cut our cloth as it were... like the old "Bulldog Spirit" we are trying to make do and mend... and so far we are doing OK. We are far from the finished article... and we probably won't be in Europe in 5 years as our Hillsboro friends always seem to wanna be... but we are going to be just fine and will be a club ALWAYS to be proud of. I was telling you that's because of your remark that's insinuated that Mark Is incapable of being a coach to our keepers... I wanted you to know that football brains FAR superior to ours think differently. He was involved in the coaching in the Wales team... and he was looked at by Man Utd. So I am guessing by all that he is regarded as a top quality GK coach... but if you mean by your 24/7 five years he can't make you a keeper ... then I am guessing you are built like JABBA the HUTT
