Is that huge glowing thing on the right-hand side, an electronic scoreboard? Please tell me it isn't. Not Fleetwood ******* Town!?! It can't be - apparently they cost, like £5m to install, or summat. There's enough Reds in that stand, to have it away...
What, the square thing? Or are you looking at the strange orb-like thing? That's not a floodlight either by the way, it's a hovering spacecraft
Oh, the square thing? Yeah, I think that's probably an electronic scoreboard. Can you tell what it says from there?
Seemingly it is just that: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-O4MAFEKVGoI/TsAFt9zC_aI/AAAAAAAADcE/vFU0KqCmNzQ/s1600/100_2624.JPG
Look at the frame its on though. Apparently thats what costs all the money. £23m I think. The board itself is £399 from john lewis
42:8 high scoring game there! Don't remember seeing that on the news! In all seriousness, no score on the SCOREboard?
**** me ragged. Even Wycombe have one. Sure I saw it on the FLS but had to check. This is a measure of how tinpot we truly have become
I'm no rocket scientist, but it's just possible that this was before kick off, like when teams are announced and all that malarkey.
No, it shows a yellow card and a ball next to players names. I guess they expect people to see the balls and count them up...
It was a very decent scoreboard. And their pies were very decent too. And they let you keep your tops on your bottles of pop. And the toilets were very clean and everything worked properly*. And their electronic scanner entry system was seamless. Oakwell could benefit from all that! Arrived too late to get a ruddy programme though! *edit - I meant that, unlike in the Ponty, everything in the toilet worked, like the locks on the door, the taps, the flushes, etc. I wasn't referring to my own personal plumbing, which is working quite nicely thank you.
In the seats one of the Fleetwood staff personally delivered a teamsheet to every Barnsley supporter. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I don't know but I would think it's on some kind of multi screen loop showing you the score then switching to the teams.
No expense spared on the construction holding it up: some metal girders, some plywood, some ladders and some old tins of paint. I guess the screen itself broke the bank and they had to get Bob's Construkshun And Ilektrikals to install it.
