Aye seen it on the news I just hope we do not get a situation emerging as we did in Northern Ireand. I would like to believe that in this case common sense is going to prevail. Although the 'NO' vote won on the day, I somehow sense that the 'YES' has actually won in many ways. Not just for Scotland, but for Wales.... Ireland and indeed the provinces of England that are not called "The Home Counties"
Re: Aye seen it on the news Very few guns on the streets so big difference between Scotland and Ireland. Not to say some psycho doesna have one. FFS that is all we need. It will be interesting to hear tomorrow morning if there is trouble anywhere else. I sincerely hope not.
Nae shooters in GLASGI' are you living in cloud cuckoo land. Its like saying Moss Side in Manchester or Toxteth in Liverpool are Hippy Communes. And I am not even going near Chapeltown in Leeds or Attercliffe in Sheffield.
Re: Nae shooters in GLASGI' I was talking in general ie Scotland and thinking of my own surroundings. OK take your point but Glasgow although bad, is still not as bad as Belfast. BTW there is a United fan in Glasgow giving a running commentary and it is all boiling up. Thank fk I'm in the house in Dundee. Fk that.
Re: Nae shooters in GLASGI' Here is the latest. Loyalists drapped in union jacks with 1690 flags and nazi salutes trying to start a riot...a few flares a few wrapped pusses so far and now burning a saltire. Hun *******s
its sad really I do understand ,I Think, the frustrations on either side. But as I have said to you in a PM and on this board I still think Alex Salmond has done something that has hopefully set off a Snowball that will grow huge as it rolls down the slope. People all over the UK are now suddenly saying .."errrm Ok Mr Cameron...just what are these better powers you talk of" and not only this present incumbent..but all the party leaders have jumped on that band wagon. Alex Salmond should be proud... her may well have achieved something that your Willam Wallace or indeed any Brit has never ever achieved.
Re: its sad really I agree mate. Cameron now in a very tricky situation. He will not want to give too much away and to displease his backbenchers. But if he doesn't give enough Scots , Irish ,Welsh and English will revolt. Ha Ha I canna wait. Looks like he is Fked. LOL
not just Him mate All the main stream parties .... I bet the Various National parties are actually clapping their hands... Plaid Cymru, The Scot Nats, UKIP, etc etc... we could be about to enter one of the hugest Era's in the history of UK since the Civil war when a certain Mr Cromwell said to the throne.... " **** reyt off"
Re: its sad really I doubt that very much mate. We saw earlier how he couldna take the confrontation of a wee lassie in Paisley. Labour really does need to get a real leader in place pronto so we do not lose this opportunity.
Re: its sad really Quite frankly, Ian. I'm struggling to see who I'm going to vote for in the next election.
Re: its sad really Labour mate Labour. Surely the party has to get its self together and oust this lot. As I say Miliband is not the answer. So very very weak. Wouldna say boo to a mouse. That is not what we need. A firebrand like Tommy Sheridan would be nice. Must be someone out there.
Re: its sad really This is a perfect opportunity for Labour to re invent its self as Socialist Labour.. we have heard over the last month that socialist values are what.. the campaign was fought on. Only to be defeated by fear... There is NO difference between the three main parties.at present. as they have shown over the last few weeks... Labour should build on the revolution by the people for the people and be brave... Its a crying shame that Scotland wasnt a little more brave... If they had been the revolution really would have taken off..
Re: its sad really Burning the Saltire is highly amusing, do they not realise it helps to create the Union Jack that they're so attached to?
Re: its sad really These Berks and others like them are prevalent worldwide .this would have happened in any country on such a massive political subject. We would have had the same thing in England's city's or welsh,Irish in France Germany etc etc some disturbances worse than others admittedly but disturbances non the less.
Re: its sad really Anyone but labour In my lifetime we have two labour governments. Both ended in disaster for the working man
