I think anything that's not gushing praise is classed as throwing your teddy out on here.

As I said on the other thread, discussion/debate is nigh on impossible due to the mindset of far too many posters.

The use of the word "Coward" id completely out of order and unacceptable.
What an utterly disrespectful post. You should be ashamed

    It's 8 league wins from 33 league games, isn't it? (6 from 26 last season, 2 from 7 this)

Which isn't any better than 4 in 16, but aye.

I think that anything outside of this season is largely irrelevant, if you're going to give this season's players a fair crack of the whip. So, unless you want to blame this seasons squad for last season, I'd be cutting them a bit of slack.

He took over a relegated bound side, anything before this season surely doesn't count with the ***** he was left with last season and January was nowhere near long enough to improve the squad. He did well to put up a fight with wins against Blackpool and forest at home and wins against Yeovil, reading and Charlton away

After the Crawley game, I came on here and wrote some drivel about the club (Ben Mansford) managing fans' expectations better.

The big problem with you is that you do not manage your expectations very well at all. If you were able to do that better, you would be balancing your desire for club to be successful with what was reasonably possible given the facts that you were aware of. Having put everything into its context, you would be a lot more willing to be patient, and a lot less active in the search for a derogatory sobriquet.

You are someone who thinks that patience is a dirty word. Who thinks that it is the duty of every fan to abuse every manager in turn who fails to deliver the instant success they desire and who thinks that sacking one manager after another is a sign that progress is being made. You are wrong. Progress can only be made by having a consistent policy and a consistent policy can only be achieved by keeping faith with a manager who has a vision of a long term plan, even when in the short term, results do not match the optimism in that plan. Because of his record in the past, Danny Wilson has earned our respect. He knew what he was doing when he took us to the Premier League and there is every reason to believe that he knows what he is doing now. He has earned the gestation period so that his plan can come to fruition. He has earned our trust that if we stay with him through the bad times, a brighter future lies beyond.

Or we could just keep on sacking managers, changing policy, changing players, keep on making the same mistakes and go on ad infinitum as we have ever since Wilson departed for Sheffield Wednesday following our relegation from the Premier League.

I'm actually one of the very few on here who don't think that words like "success" and 'ambition" are dirty words. No matter what happens on or off the girls, regardless of the level we are competing at, there are always apologists on here who will offer an excuse for anything and everything.

As for sacking Wilson, I'd suggest you go back and the read the first line of the second paragraph in my original post.

Won't be long though with some. If you compare to Cardiff.......

    1) Our manager 4 wins from 16. At same rate would be 8 from 32 and Cardiff got rid of a manager with 7 wins in 32.
    2) Both clubs sacked a manager last season and wasn't kept up by the replacement.
    3) Neither club doing as well as expected by many supporters in easier leagues.
