First question is at the first pit stops what did a williams mechanic do to warrent being hit on the helmwt by another? And the otjer is is it time to scrap the safety car for most instances? If there is debris or a car at one corner then why slow them down for the whole lap? Couldnt they just instruct all drivers to hit the pit limiter for the corner affected or something? That would force them to slow down to a safe speed but allow them to race for the rest of the lap.
Dunno. Because as much as I want Lewis to win, the second that Nico retired I turned it off. I knew Lewis would stroll it.
I think the idea is that by bunching everyone up it creates a long enough window of opportunity for stewards to safely go onto the track or work on the edge to recover a car/debris. Without it you'd still have cars going by all the time, albeit slower.
I kept flicking over from that stream, to the Leicester stream. I saw Vettel take the lead at the pit stops near the end, but Lewis was back ahead within a lap. I love that he's back in the lead, I really hope he wins the title and I love F1. But some races are boring, and once Nico was out I expected what happened. Regards the pit stop/Williams thing, I can't recall it. As for the safety car issues, I think I'm agreeing with Burgundy.
