    We beat Birmingham 5-0 away.

I think the state of things has slowly declined since then barring that miracle of a couple of months that Flicker had. Hopefully the defeat on Saturday will be the bottom and things can only go upwards from hereon in.

Was at that game along with only 294 others, was just utter dominance from start to finish and it wouldn't have flattered us if we'd won 10-0.

Not been great since then has it!

Edit: 294 Barnsley fans, there were obviously some home fans there too!

Yeh. Was a great day!!! First time I've been to Birmingham and not had loads of sub humans waiting for us at the gates where the away buses park.

They'd all p1ssed off home after 70 mins.

I always think it's interesting how many people claim he was the worst manager in our history yet three months before he was sacked he was linked with Blackburn and many were gutted that he might leave.

I also accept that there were some who didn't like him throughout that period too.

Anyway, I'm shutting up now. It just reminded me of how good I felt about BFC on this day two years ago

Sadly, we then didn't win a home league match after the Birmingham away win until we beat Leeds 2-0 on 12 January, in what would have been Flicker's last game had we not won, Hill having already been sacked. And to think that after the Birmingham game we were looking to the play offs rather than relegation!

Two key moments in our recent history - Leeds at home & that game.

Davies started to believe the hype & got a niggle from memory. Keith & his agent were suddenly linked with any job in the North West and BANG we were **** again. Then we signed Greening & the others in an attempt to shut him up/give him enough rope and the rest is history.

Could've been oh so different. Michael f.cking Brown.

I remember watching this in the local pub and wondering how we weren't 2/3-0 up at half time and genuinely fearing the worst for the second half. After all, it was Barnsley we were watching!

I don't think anybody could believe their eyes in the second half. I think by the time it got to 2-0 it was obvious who I supported and when the 4th and 5th goals went in the whole pub was celebrating and cheering for the reds. I got quite a few free pints bought for me that night!

Christ I went round brum after that night. How I made it back to my hotel room is still a mystery today! Very sore head that Sunday morning!
