I like Ramage, I like Cranie, M'Voto and Nyatanga (to a degree) too. As individuals, they're 4 decent centre halfs. But for whatever reason, they conceeded a lot of goals between them last season, and 3 of them have done the same this. I would just like to see one completely new face at centre half. That said, Ramage would added much needed experience to a side which seems to be lacking in that area at present, you can't build an entirely young hungry team and expect them not to make the mistakes an experienced player like Ramage wouldn't make. Model pro though which is a plus
Can't see him dropping to third division...Can't see us meeting his wage. Other than that...good shout.
Ramage Cranie Lewin and M'Voto,as individuals, are great defenders, it just takes the right kind of management to get them to play together. Just hope Danny can sort it
It was not putting the ball in the net last season that cost us, we weren't getting hit for three or four every week...please also remember the left back we had who couldn't tackle his own hair never mind an opposition attacker.
I like Ramage but I'd question why we would be trying to bring him back. With a small squad and a limited budget I'd say there are 3 or 4 more pressing areas than centre half to strengthen. Centre midfield, right midfield, target man striker and right full back would be more of a priority for me. We already have Crainie, Nyatanga, M'Voto and Brown who can play at centre half. Unless we are planning to ship one of those out of course......?
I thought Ramage did ok after a shaky start. RIght back and Central midfield surely more pressing concerns given we already have 4 centre halves and Cowgill.
Yeah but he even admitted himself, in an interview last season, that his days as a full back are over.
No you're not. (Better than Brown at full back that is, you probably are a fat bloke in your 30s tho').
