Or sti do own a boat? I've had enough if caravanning (I have wife hasnt) Anyway thinking of selling the van to buy a 6 berth boat of some kind. If you do, what's your thoughts ?
I have a boat, well I live on a boat to be truthful ! Also own a small narrowboat as well. The boat we live on is 70ft long and 12 and half ft wide, the small one is 26ft long and 7ft wide. What do you want to know? Boating is a lot more expensive than Caravanning , fact ! The waterways licence for the big boat is £1000 a year, the small one is about £450 a year.plus insurance etc. plus fuel etc etc. Red Diesel though, so thats a bonus A narrowboat costs a lot more than a caravan too , fibreglass cabin cruisers are a bit cheaper though.
This is a picture of our big boat when it was a trip boat in York. It now has got no canopy on top, or steering cabin up front on the roof. <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=2ry54p1" target="_blank"><img src="http://i59.tinypic.com/2ry54p1.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> This is the little one, before we painted it <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=2ms361l" target="_blank"><img src="http://i57.tinypic.com/2ms361l.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>

A Yorkie and a Lakeland
We only have the Lakeland with us now, the Yorkie now lives with my Grandson, she only went for 3 days and would not leave him . She still likes to come through and go out on the boat though. Both of the dogs love being out on the boat travelling.
I wished i did, I just fancy something different for a couple of years, jsut a cabin cruiser would do me, nothing as big at the top photo from Mark (thanks for the photos pal)
To be honest I would love to hire a boat or something. I went on the Norfolk broads for the day when I went on holiday with my parents to Yarmouth about 10 years ago and loved every second of it. It just seems so relaxed, although in reality it probably isn't.
Good friend of mine does narrow boat cruising and tuition. http://www.airedalecruising.info/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
