    Hmm. There's limits though. Have you checked with Embassy? They should be able to tell you whether it's safe to travel.

    Can you imagine us been able to 'detain' a foreign
    blowk against his will and get away with it?!? We can't even deport folk who are here without permission!!!!!
    The blowk was there trying to do good. This sort of stuff makes my blood boil even more!!!!!

    Could a different set of actions been tried? I think so

    Cut the funding cure the problem.

    Not sure what your reasoning is about, unless you want to live under draconian rule?

    Why wouldn't it be? All we are going to see is an escalation with more and more innocent lives like Alan's, troops and local civilians being wasted.

    Without cutting the funding it is just a futile cycle. What our governments can't admit is that they have no control over the financial system so can't strangle them.

    Still, it's telling which post gets questioned...

    I can see where Redstar is coming from and it is a very valid point.
    The fact is unless we have some serious intelligence on the ground as to the location of these lunatics, then the bombing raids will hardly make any difference, but I suppose the politicians have to be seen to be doing something to pacify the public's concerns.
